Proud Androsians accepting a water tank, pump and trailer (one of three), lifesaving gifts from the Bahamas Red Cross made possible through a joint partnership between the American Red Cross and the Bahamas Red Cross and delivered through the support of USAID/OFDA.

The volunteer firemen/women have already been professionally trained and are now preparing to share that training with high school students in the community starting with the Junior Chief Council member and his secretary (pictured below). All three water tanks are now officially the property of the people of Andros who have committed to building protective sheds for them and their upkeep and regular maintenance.
