Nassau, The Bahamas – The annual Ball of the Bahamas Red Cross Society will be held on Saturday, the 30th of January, 2016, at the Melia Nassau Beach, Cable Beach under the patronage of Her Excellency, Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. The Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and Mrs. Christie will also be in attendance.

The theme this year is Passion. Pride. Pizzazz. and will begin with cocktails at 7pm, followed by dinner at 8pm. Entertainment will be provided by the Royal Bahamas Police Force Pop Band. Patrons will be serenaded during dinner by the Lou Adams Orchestra.  Tickets are priced at $250.00 and the dress code is Black Tie.

The major entertainment attraction for the evening will be Veronica Bishop backed by Ira Storr. Rounding out the evening will be the hot sounds of ‘Spank Band.'

This year’s honouree will be announced along with the Corporate Donor Award winner.

Proceeds of the Ball will assist the Red Cross in not only defraying operational expenses, but to continue and expand upon current programs, such as Meals on Wheels, After School Care, Disaster Relief, Junior Red Cross, and others too numerous to mention.

Tickets may be reserved by visiting or calling the Bahamas Red Cross Headquarters on John F. Kennedy Drive at 242.323.7370 or by emailing directorgeneral@bahamasredcross.com or redcross@bahamas.net.bs.
