Grand Bahama Island – In support of the Harvest Foundation, a special fundraising event, “Fashion on the Lawn” will take place on Saturday, March 28th at the Boat House on the edge of the Grand Bahama Yacht Club’s marina. The beautiful outdoor setting will be set up to showcase new and upcoming models, along with our most tried and tested beauties in the latest styles in a wonderful fashion show. There will be fifteen lovely models, including the recent six Miss Grand Bahama contestants on hand accompanied by handsome Bahamian gents. The outgoing Miss Grand Bahama, Kerel Pinder, who has had a most amazing year in her reign, will also be making a special appearance.

As guests approach the entrance to this event, they will be met by a showcase of wonderful and exciting handmade items, such as jewelry, handbags, scarves, art, and all types of Bahamian wonders. Raffle prizes will be on display along with information on the Harvest Foundation and its work at Lewis Yard. Items from local spas and other pampering places will be featured.

This will be a perfect opportunity for people to become aware of our yearly Miss Grand Bahama pageant as a new Miss Grand Bahama will be crowned on March 29th at the Hilton Outten Convention Centre. The most dedicated and determined man behind the pageant and the ‘Fashion on the Lawn’ show is Mr. Glenn Charles. We are proud and so thankful to Glenn for being our choreographer and fashion director for this event.

This event is not just for the ladies, and women are encouraged to bring their men, as Sands beer will be served for those who do not like champagne. The ladies will all be served champagne, mimosas, non-alcoholic apple cider, and all will enjoy fine handmade chocolates.

The afternoon will begin at 3 o'clock and will tentatively end at 5. Tickets are $25 and available at Animale, Seventeen Shop, Bahamas Bridal, and Bandolera.

All proceeds will directly benefit the Lewis Yard Community Centre. Our motto is 'GIVING PEOPLE A HAND UP - NOT A HAND OUT'

Thank you for your support, and come out and enjoy Fashion on the Lawn at the Grand Bahama Yacht Club.
