Freeport, Grand Bahama - The Freeport Lions Club like other civic organizations  on Grand Bahama brought smiles to many faces this yuletide season, the club a strong community base organization knows the needs of persons in the various communities thus they were able to readily assist.  According to club President Lion Clarence Reckley the Freeport Lions Club is in the communities all through the year assisting with sight screening  the purchasing of eye glasses and diabetic testing, however it is at this time of the year when we must reach out and bring a little Christmas cheer to those in need. Because of the existing down turn in the world economy an by extension the Grand Bahama economy  at this time, the food parcels made a big difference in the lives of persons who did not know where the next meal was coming from. As president I would like to thank those persons who continue to support The Freeport Lions Club making it possible for us to do what we do,Your donation might seem small to you but it brings joy to many.

In closing if we can help someone along the way then Lionism is not in vain. Its the little things that makes the big difference.  Again we say thanks for the support and we wish all a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and blessed new year.
