Need Has No Season – Women’s Shelter Project

Nassau, Bahamas -  The Salvation Army  Bahamas Division  launched for the second year  Need Has No Season Fundraising Campaign in support of  the Women & Children’s Emergency Shelter Project chaired by Mr. Felix Stubbs, Chairman and Cameron Symonette, Board Member of The Salvation Army’s Advisory Board.

The Salvation Army Bahamas  Division launches Need Has No Season as a midyear fundraiser to generate funding for the Women & Children’s Emergency Shelter Project.   The familiar red kettles will be sponsored by Corporate Bahamas every Saturday during the month of August.  The familiar red kettles will be located at RBC Royal Bank (Bahamas) Limited Branches, Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza and Lynden Pindling International Airport with volunteers from Rotary Clubs of The Bahamas.   The Salvation Army Women’s Shelter from the early 1970’s has offered a multitude of services which support and engage the individual in rebuilding a healthy life 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.   An emergency shelter  option for women fleeing domestic violence,  as well as women who may otherwise need temporary emergency housing, the clients of the Women’s Shelter are connected with variety of community resources and receive the support they need in order to get back on their feet.
