Fifteen (15) professional women of the Grand Bahama community have given unselfishly to the leadership of the Pilot Club of Lucaya and as we approach the 21st century, the mission and vision of these phenomenal women transcends from individual to individual. Caring, compassionate and strong are the words which describe these amazing women.

On Saturday, April 30th 2016, 13 Past Presidents will be honoured along with six Charter Members who served as President in the Freeport Club. Our honorees are: Deborah Archer 2002, Crystal Barnett 2003, Thelia Coakley 2004, Freda Forbes 2005, Retia Gibson-Hall 2006, Erica Hanna 2007, Lorraine Dawkins 2008/9, Laverne Atkinson 2009/10, Antoinette Carroll 2010/2011, Cheryl Bartlett 2011/12, Gigi Curtis 2012/13, Ethel Laing 2013/2014 and Mavis Ward 20014/15. They will be experiencing a night of servitude, glamour and dancing, to show our appreciation to those who are most deserving and without exception each of these remarkable women would say you don’t have to do this, but YES we must.

The Pilot Club of Lucaya is a proud member of Pilot International, with over 7500 members with almost 400 clubs in countries such as United States of America, Canada, Japan, South Africa and The Bahamas. The Pilot Club of Lucaya was inducted in 2002 and has produced four District Governors and has the distinguished title of having the first International President outside of the U.S. Mrs. Deborah Archer.
