Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - The Red Rose Ball Committee has launched media coverage to inform the public of its annual All White Affair with the announcement of the event slated for Saturday May 17, 2014 at La Chateau on the Green, the old Water World location.

“We are also pleased to have the partnership and support of Leslia Miller-Brice, who will not only serve as our guest of honor for the All White Affair but she will be the face of the Red Rose Ball Committee and she will be our guest of honor at our annual Red Rose Ball.

“I was truly honored to receive a phone call from Ms. Odette Knowles, who not only informed me about the Red Rose Ball Committee but asked me to serve as the face of its continuing campaign to fight HIV/AIDS through education.

“Faced with the reality of where our country stands, especially as it regards the high rate of persons affected by HIV/AIDS in The Bahamas there was no way I could turn a blind eye to this committee, event and cause.

“Since learning about the committee and its efforts I have pledged my 100 percent, unwavering support and I not only plan to be the face of the RRBC but to work hands-on with any and all projects and initiatives undertaken by the organization.

“In my capacity as the face of the RRBC, I would like to encourage corporate Bahamas to lend their support to educating our youth about HIV/AIDS and doing all we can to combat this disease.

“Persons living with HIV/AIDS make contributions to our corporate society everyday whether they catch the bus, have a bank account on which they deposit funds, shop at a retail store or do anything those unaffected would do hence corporate Bahamas should in turn contribute to them but supporting the RRBC.

“I implore corporate Bahamas to come on-board with me and join the fight as prevention and education are our key tools in combating HIV/AIDS,” said Miller-Brice. See you at the All White Affair on May 17th, 2014 and the Annual Ball on November 1st, 2014.
