Freeport, Bahamas -
Principal and students from St. Paul’s Methodist College participates in World AIDS Day activities.

Teen PEP (Prevention Education Program) coordinated by the Red Rose Ball Committee and sponsored by the US Embassy, Nassau is proud to let everyone know that they are committed to defeating AIDS,   We believe that if we all work together, we can wipe out this terrible disease. AIDS is strong, but together we are stronger.

The goal of Teen PEP is to educate and re-ignite discourse in order to create awareness among teenagers about HIV/AIDS, end HIV/AIDS Stigma and Discrimination and engage new stakeholders in the fight against the disease, with the ultimate goal of ending the epidemic.

While December 1st is recognized as World AIDS Day and will serve as a platform to re-engage civil society, the private sector, the community and organizations, who together have the potential to reach the broad swath who remain untouched by current HIV/AIDS education efforts , we at St Paul's Methodist College and participants of Teen PEP stand in the form of a Human Ribbon representing those who are advocates, those who are living with HIV/AIDS and in remembrance of those whom have passed on.  As Teen PEP participants, we want to STAND OUT and make a DIFFERENCE in our community

Also, today we want to issue a challenge to the community and the private sector to create and invest in the Teen PEP initiatives regarding getting the message across to our peers about the effects of HIV/AIDS and foster a compassionate response as we try to save our generation.  We thank the Red Rose Ball Committee and the United States Embassy, Nassau for creating such an avenue to cause us to better understand the facts about HIV/AIDS and we are proud to be a part of the Teen PEP Program.

On Saturday Night at 7:00 pm we invite other Teenagers to join us at Geneva's restaurant for the showing of the Movie "Jessica's Wish" produced by Nathaniel Lewis is a must see especially for Teenagers, at a cost of $12.00 dollars, if you are a part of Teen PEP and you are wearing your T-Shirt your cost will be only $4.00 dollars... Join us tonight at Geneva's Restaurant , Teens Unite!
