Nassau,
The Bahamas (July
20, 2010) – The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort kicked off its new
“Creating Connections” series on Thursday, July 15. Nearly 200
local business leaders mixed and mingled with each other and the
resort’s
management team during a red carpet reception while enjoying live music,
food
and cocktails.
“We greatly value
our local
corporate community for their continued support and decided to host this
new
event series as a way to thank them for their loyalty,”” said Hans
Altenhoff, General Manager of the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort.
“Creating
Connections is about strengthening existing ties, building new
relationships,
and showing area businesses what the resort has to offer for corporate
travel,
events, meetings and more.”
During the event,
Starwood Preferred
Guest (SPG) representatives were on hand to provide information about
the
resort’s new Booking Rewards Program, which enables local clients to
accumulate points to be redeemed at Starwood Hotels and Resort
Worldwide.
Points can be used for free nights, room upgrades, airline flight awards
and
more. Attendees were also given a chance to win prizes and giveaways,
such as
stays at Starwood Hotels throughout the United States.
“Our goal tonight
was to thank
our business community, and present the strength of Starwood worldwide
to the
local community,” said Andre Newbold, Business Travel Sales Manager for
the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort. “When you think business, think
Sheraton!”
