Freeport, G.B. Bahamas – July 22, 2014  SkyBahamas Airlines announced today that it is re-launching its Freeport to Ft. Lauderdale route, beginning Friday July 25, 2014.  The company, which first introduced this service to Grand Bahama residents some three years ago before discontinuing, has become synonymous for its many initiatives that best responds to the demands and interests of the communities it serves.

SkyBahamas teams up with Resorts World Bimini to Boost Visitor Arrivals - Jun 6, 2014 - 7:50:55 PM

Bimini, Bahamas – SkyBahamas and Resorts World Bimini (RWB) are teaming up to increase airlift to thetwin islands. Beginning June 13th 2014, RWB is offering an all-inclusive hotel package deal for visitors to the island to promote midweek and weekend stays at the Resort. Double occupancy rates for a two-night stay start as low as $969.00during low demand or $1,237.00 during high demand, inclusive of airfare and taxes. The packages are valid through the end of August, and restrictions apply.


The collaboration comes on the heels of SkyBahamas’ introduction of flight services between Bimini and Fort Lauderdale(FLL) three days per week – Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. Nassau, Bahamas – SkyBahamas has resumed its service to Bimini and will resume flights into Fort Lauderdale beginning January 18 2014. Under the leadership of Captain Butler and the team at SkyBahamas, progress to service high demand travel zones has been on track, in order to bring convenient flight schedules and dependable services.

Customers have the option of flying to Bimini from Nassau on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, at a rate of $169.99 round trip, or $95.00 one way. One way from Bimini to Nassau is $85.00. Customers can also fly from Bimini to Fort Lauderdale on Saturday and Sunday for $281.50 round trip, and $172.00 one way.

In celebration of the season an estimated fifteen children were presented with large boxes filled with toys and gifts, an annual effort taken on by SkyBahamas.

Freeport. August 1, 2013 – SkyBahamas Airlines has announced plans to offer significant airfare reductions for Grand Bahama residents and visitors traveling between Freeport and Ft. Lauderdale.

According to the company’s CEO/President, Captain Randy Butler the company’s Directors made a decision to reduce air travel during the month of August to Two Hundred and Ninety Nine Dollars ($299.00) to facilitate the “hassle free” travel of passengers between the two destinations. In spite of recently announced additional taxations being imposed by the government on local and domestic carriers, Captain Butler insists that the company’s response will still be to continue it’s legacy of putting people before profits, and heralded that this “airfare drop is a continued demonstration of the airline’s appreciation and commitment to the people of Grand Bahama.” ...
