Nassau, The Bahamas – The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, located on Cable Beach, rolled out the red carpet for local business leaders during its second Creating Connections Client Appreciation Reception on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Nearly 200 local business leaders mixed and mingled with each other and the resort’s management team during the reception while enjoying live music, food, cocktails, interactive games and prize giveaways.

“Creating Connections is not only an interactive networking event for business leaders and VIPs, but it’s also our way of thanking the local and corporate community for their loyalty and continued support of the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort,” said Andrew Neubauer, director of sales and marketing for the resort.

During the event, Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) representatives were on hand to provide information about the resort’s Booking Rewards Incentive Program, which enables local clients to accumulate points to be redeemed at Starwood Hotels and Resort Worldwide. Points can be used for free nights, room upgrades, airline flight awards and more. This program was officially launched during last year’s Creating Connections event, and updates on its success were shared throughout the evening. Attendees were given a chance to win prizes and giveaways, such as stays at Starwood Hotels throughout the United States.

Additional details on the Booking Rewards Incentive Program include:

·  Sign up as an exclusive corporate booking agent and receive 1,000 Bonus points.

·  Earn Star points for every dollar spent with the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort or any of Starwood Hotels & Resorts 890 properties worldwide within any brand.

·  Redeem points for free nights at any participating Sheraton, Westin or W brands, including most Luxury Collection and St. Regis Hotels and Resorts worldwide.

· Free nights can be redeemed for as little as 6,000 points depending on the grade level of the property or location.

To sign up for the Booking Rewards Incentive Program, an SPG Enrollment Form must be completed and sent to Andre Newbold, Business Travel Sales Manager for the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort at andre.newbold@sheraton.com. Upon completion of the form, guests are issued a temporary Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) number and card followed by a permanent card by mail.
