Olympians At Old Bahama Bay: The Grand Bahama sporting community hosted members of the Bahamas’ 2008 Olympic team to a special dinner reception at Old Bahama Bay by Ginn sur Mer. West End, Grand Bahama Island – Old Bahama Bay by Ginn sur Mer rolled out the red carpet for visiting members of the Bahamas’ 2008 Olympic team.
Whilst in Grand Bahama for an official two-day visit in celebration of the team’s accomplishment in Beijing, China, the athletes enjoyed complimentary luxury accommodations befitting their world-class status at Old Bahama Bay, a AAA Four Diamond and Preferred Boutique Brand property.
After brief welcoming ceremonies at the Grand Bahama International Airport, the athletes were whisked away by private charter to the picturesque resort in western Grand Bahama.
Surprise: Old Bahama Bay employees surprised Olympic silver medalist Chris Brown with a birthday cake. Team Bahamas enjoyed complimentary accommodations at Old Bahama Bay during a two-day celebratory visit on Grand Bahama.

The resort’s fine dining restaurant AQUA, which overlooks a stunning marina, was the venue for a special dinner reception hosted by Grand Bahama’s sporting community. On hand to greet the athletes were the Minister of Youth, Sports and
Culture, the Hon. Desmond Bannister; Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly and Pineridge MP, the Hon. Kwasi Thompson; and Senator Kay Forbes-Smith, of the Office of the Prime Minister, who headed the organizing committee.
Also attending were leaders from various sporting organizations, elected officials from the West End Township and scores of well-wishers.
