Bringing Value as a Leader,
A Day at the Zoo and
No Excuse Management were just some of the training topics discussed during recent management leadership sessions at Old Bahama Bay by Ginn sur Mer
.
Presented by renowned lifestyle coach Richard Flint, who has had previous experience in training and development with the Ginn company, the three-hour long sessions were designed to teach leaders to create a presence that has a presence when they are not present; prepare participants to work with different personalities that share their environment; and teach those who have been given the responsibility to lead, the skills to become a no excuse leader.
“We are pleased to have Mr. Flint share his wealth of knowledge and experience with us. As we move forward with our development project it will be imperative that our management staff take effective leadership roles that will provide their employees with the direction, motivation and insight required to grow with the company and adapt to the changing business landscape,” said Donald Glass, vice president of human resources for Old Bahama Bay.
Participants from Old Bahama Bay included a wide range of executive and managerial partners from all of the resort’s major departments including Food & Beverage; Front Desk; Housekeeping; Guest Activities; Marina; Sales & Marketing; Engineering; Accounts and Human Resources.
According to Flint, the fundamental thought that guides the information presented is that “too many who call themselves a leader think their value is created by their position whereas the reality is a leader’s value is defined by their presence. The difference between the two is the respect their people show them.”
Richard Flint has shared his insights and philosophies with audiences all over North America since 1980. He has written 12 books, recorded over 50 audio albums/cds, and filmed 28 videos. Beyond being an author, he is a nationally recognized speaker, a lifestyle coach to many who are seeking to stop repeating and start achieving, and a frequent guest on radio and television talk shows.
