Prime Minister Allen Chastanet tests negative for COVID-19 - Mar 18, 2020 - 9:04:08 AM
On Tuesday March 17, 2020 the Ministry of Health was informed that the
Prime Minister Honourable Allen Chastanet was experiencing a mild cough
following recent travel history to Miami for medical attention and in an
abundance of caution he had opted to place himself into voluntary
quarantine. He contacted the Chief Medical Officer and a medical team
was dispatched to assess the Prime Minister. A sample was taken for
testing which included testing for COVID-19...

of this morning feeling unwell and in accordance with the established
protocols went into self-quarantine. The Prime Minister immediately
stayed away from all of his meetings and engagements.

On December 31, 2019, Chinese authorities led an epidemiological
investigation to determine the etiology of reported cases of pneumonia
in Wuhan City, Hubei Province of China. This led to the discovery of a
new strain of Corona Virus Disease COVID-19.
COVID-19 is a
Corona Virus characterized with fever, cough and chills. About 80-81% of
cases are mild, 14% severe and 4% critical. The fatality rate ranges
