Freeport, Bahamas -  There have been great strides made in pageantry in The Bahamas, and the Grand Bahama Beauty Pageant Organization has several highlights  this past year to add to the country's successes.  Lashanda Wildgoose competed and came second runner-up in Jamaica at the Miss Global International in 2013, and this year traveled to Colombia for the Miss Coffee International Pageant.  Shequera King had the opportunity to travel to Africa and go down in history as the inaugural Miss Heritage World title holder.

The Miss Grand Bahama committee works hard behind the scenes ensuring their mandate is met, and they are in stride with their mission, that being to help transform young women of Grand Bahama through pageantry to become true ambassadors for their country. The organization could not do this year after year without the help of their generous sponsors, and today the the organization is proud to send participates to over 5 pageants internationally which are Miss Yacht Model International, Miss Bikini International, Miss Global International, Miss Coffee International and Miss Heritage World.

The current pageant committee, comprised of Rengin Johnson, Abi Bethe, Vanessa Hall, James Bridgewater,
April Gow, Ejay Stuart and Nathaniel Lewis are in the process of  screening  potential contestants for 2014 Miss Grand Bahama Beauty Pageant. The final screening will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 7pm at the YMCA.
