Nassau, Bahamas - Police in New Providence are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a man in connection with an attempted sexual assault and stabbing incident that occurred on Thursday 12th June 2014.

According to reports, shortly before 6:00pm, a woman was at her home located on Beatrice Avenue, Sea Breeze, when a man entered her house and attempted to sexually assault her. The woman resisted and the man in turn stabbed her several times about the body before fleeing on foot.

The woman was transported to hospital where she is detained in serious condition.

The suspect is described as a male of a dark complexion, about 5’ 8” in height, wearing a yellow shirt with stripes.

Investigations are ongoing.
