Nassau, Bahamas - Police have launched an island-wide search for the suspects responsible for two separate armed robberies that occurred at two government schools.
In the first incident, around 3:00am on Monday 6th February 2017, two security officers were on duty at a Senior High School on Faith Avenue South, when four males armed with firearms accosted them and demanded cash. The males tied up the two security officers and robbed them of cash, a watch and a cell phone. The suspects then ransacked the school’s office before speeding off in one of the security officer’s silver 1999 Honda Saber vehicle.
In the second incident, shortly after 2:00am on Tuesday 7th February 2017, two security officers were on duty at a Junior High School on College Avenue, when four males armed with firearms accosted them and demanded cash. The males tied up the two security officers and robbed them of cash and a cell phone. The suspects then ransacked the school’s office and several classrooms before fleeing on foot.
Investigations are ongoing in both incidents.
