RBPF: Missing Woman found dead in North Cat Island

Police in Cat Island are reporting the discovery of a lifeless body of a woman believed to be that of 74 - year-old Janice Mildred Kessinger, a United States Citizen residing in North Cat Island, who was reported missing on Saturday 30th September 2017.

According to reports, around 12:00noon on Sunday 1st October 2017, police in Cat Island acting on information went to a bushy area in north Cat Island where they found the lifeless body of an adult Caucasian female believed to be that of missing woman Janice Mildred Kessinger with injuries to the body. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police have theorized robbery to be the motive for the death of the victim.

Two male suspects are in custody assisting police with investigations into this incident.
