Murder on Grand Bahama, Public assistance needed

Police in Grand Bahama need your assistance in finding the person(s) responsible for a shooting incident that has left a male dead.

Reports are that on Sunday 13th January 2019, shortly after 12am, police were alerted to gunshots being fired in the area of East Atlantic Drive. Officers quickly responded and upon arrival discovered the lifeless body of a male, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that can assist with this

investigation, to give them a call at the Central Detective Unit at telephone numbers 350-3107 thru 12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.


Significant drug seizure by officers of the Bimini Division

Reports are that on Saturday 12th January 2019, shortly before 10:00am, Officers of the Bimini Division while patrolling in a police boat, and acting on information, went to an area at the eastern end of South Bimini, and discovered in mangroves (58) packages of suspected marijuana. The area was searched and there were no arrest made in this matter.
The estimated weight of the suspected marijuana is 334lbs. with a street value of $334,000.00.
