Law Enforcement Officials uncover a large amount of
Dangerous Drugs at the Grand Bahama Container Port on
Monday 15th May 2017.
Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2017, Officers of the Drug Enforcement
Unit along with other Law Enforcement Officials and Security Personnel at the Grand
Bahama Container Port, acting on information conducted a search of a 20 ft. container where
they uncovered (7) seven black duffle bags, each containing suspected cocaine. The
estimated weight of the Dangerous Drugs is 490.5lbs and its estimated street value is five
million one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars.
No arrest was made, however police are actively investigating this matter.
