RBPF: Police in Grand Bahama investigate 2 Separate drug matters

In the first incident, on Monday 16th July 2018, shortly after 2:00pm, Officers of the Rapid Response Unit, while in the area of Fawcett Lane, arrested a 23 year old male of Raleigh Drive, after he was found in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.

In the second incident on the same date, shortly after 4:00pm, Officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, acting on information and while in the area of the Casuarina Bridge, in bushes near the canal, discovered three taped packages of suspected marijuana. No arrest was made in this matter. 

The estimated weight is 18.5 lbs. and has a street value of eighteen thousand dollars.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS.)

Secure all important documents in a waterproof container.
Be sure to have a first aid kit, medication, flash lights, and a battery operated radio on hand.

Secure all loose objects, including lawn furniture, on your property and place pets inside for safe keeping.
Keep several days’ supply of food and water for each family member.

DO NOT USE GENERATORS INDOORS.

Follow all instructions from your local authorities regarding evacuation or other safety
procedures.
