Police in Grand Bahama arraigned two suspects on Murder and Firearm possession charges

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Reports are that on Monday 24th June 2019, a 17 year old juvenile of Martin Town, Eight Mile Rock was arraigned before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1 on Murder charge. He was not required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to the 13th August 2019 to be heard before the Juvenile Panel. He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial.

This is in connection to the stabbing incident reported to the police on Monday 17th June 2019.

Kingsley Cooper age 30 years of Scott Avenue, Freeport, Grand Bahama was also arraigned before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1 on possession of an illegal firearm and possession of ammunition charges. He pleaded guilty to both charges and was fine $16,000 or (18) months imprisonment.
