Grand Bahama arrest: Possession of Dangerous Drugs With Intent to Supply

Freeport, Grand Bahama - A 32 year old male and a 30 year old female, both residence of Freeport, Grand Bahama, are in police custody after they were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply.

Reports are that on Thursday 26th September 2013, around 6:30am, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by plain clothes officers, executed a search warrant at a residence in the South Bahamia area where they discovered (5) five plastic wrapped packages of suspected cocaine.

An additional half package of suspected cocaine was subsequently discovered by the officers at a business establishment owned by the male suspect.
The total weight of suspected cocaine is 12.5 lbs.

The estimated value of the suspected cocaine is $139,000.00 one hundred and thirty nine thousand dollars.

Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in the Magistrate Court in connection with this matter.
