Firearms found in two locations on Grand Bahama Island

Freeport, Bahamas - Police  in  Grand  Bahama  acting  on  information  uncovers  two  firearm  in  the  Freeport  area  on  Monday  31st October 2016.

The first incident occurred shortly after 9:00 am, officers acting on information went to a dilapidated two story building situated on Diamond Row, Coral Gardens and discovered a Remington .22 rifle with (1) .22 round of ammunition.

The second incident occurred shortly after 2:00pm, officers went to an abandoned building on Peridot Place, Coral Gardens and discovered a .22 rifle hidden in bushes.

No arrest were made  in regards to both incidents. Police are investigating

Police are also urging  anyone  who  may  have  any  information  regarding  any  crime,  no  matter  how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477)

WEEKLY CRIME PREVENTION TIP–If you witness a Crime TAKE  A  STAND  AGAINST  ILLEGAL  FIREARMS  BY  COPERATING  WITH  THE  POLICE IN  PROVIDING  INFORMATION  REGARDING  THE  WHEREABOUTS  OF  ANY  ILLEGAL FIREARMS.
