RBPF Grand Bahama: Dangerous Drug Arrest

OFFICERS OF THE EIGHT MILE ROCK DIVISION UNCOVER A
QUANTITY OF DANGEROUS DRUGS.

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Reports are that on Thursday 16th May 2019 shortly after 8:00pm, a team of officers of the Eight Mile Rock Division, acting on information, went to an unoccupied building on Fire Hydrant Corner, Pine Dale, Eight Mile Rock, where they discovered in the ceiling two clear plastic bag containing 2.68 lbs. of suspected marijuana with a street value of $2,400.00. A 32 year old male was arrested and taken into police custody.

OFFICERS OF THE MOBILE DIVISION MAKE SIGNIFICANT
ARRESTS ON THURSDY 16TH MAY 2019

Reports are that between the hours of 10:00am and 3:00pm, officers of the Mobile Division conducted a special operation at different location on the streets of Grand Bahama and arrested (4) persons on outstanding warrants of arrest, (3) persons were arrested for dangerous drugs, causing damage and obscene language and numerous FPN issued to traffic offenders who were cited for various traffic infractions.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force stands committed in the fight against crime.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS) OR THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 350-3106/12.

ARMED ROBBERY SAFETY TIPS –
  • Personal safety first! money and merchandise are not important and can be replaced
  • Stay calm and don’t resist.
  • Do as instructed and don’t make sudden moves.
  • Keep your hands visible at all times.
  • Get a look at the robber if possible, but don’t stare.
  • Activate the alarm only when its safe to do so.
  • If possible, get a look at the robber’s vehicle and the direction travel.
  • Do not follow the robber
  • Install surveillance cameras and ensure that they are in working condition.
