RBPF Grand Bahama: Firearms, Ammunition & Dangerous Drugs Found

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, Officers of Operation Turf Sweep discovers Firearms, Ammunition and Dangerous Drugs.

Reports are that on Friday 22nd July 2016 shortly after 8:00pm, Officers of Operation Turf Sweep while in the Kennedy Drive area, discovered in an abandoned structure (1) .40 caliber pistol loaded with (1) magazine containing (1) .40 round of ammunition and also (1) .38 revolver loaded with (2) .38 rounds of ammunition. No arrest was made in this matter.

Also shortly after 11:00pm on the same date, Officers of Operation Turf Sweep while in the Hearne Lane area, discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana in a vehicle. No arrests were made in this matter.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477)
