“OPERATION BLACKOUT” POLICE IN GRAND BAHAMA
ARREST FIVE PERSONS AFTER THEY WERE FOUND IN
POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS, ILLEGAL FIREARMS
AND AMMUNITION 

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Reports are that on Friday 5th October 2018 between the hours of 5pm and 2am, officers executed search warrants on five residence in the Freeport area and arrested (5) suspects for possession of dangerous drugs, illegal firearms and ammunition in separate incidents.

Officers took into possession a quantity of ammunition, (2) imitation firearm, (2) packages of suspected marijuana weighing (2) lbs. and (15) foil wraps of suspected marijuana.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS.)

  • Keep vehicles locked, with the windows up at all times when parked at home or work.
  • Remove all valuables including purses, cell phones, laptop computers and other electronic items, gym bags and briefcases from your vehicle.
