RBPF Grand Bahama: Police investigating an armed robbery - Operation Quiet Storm

Police on the island of Grand Bahama are investigating an armed robbery.

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Reports are that on Tuesday 28th May 2019, shortly before 9:00pm, two males, one armed with a handgun, entered a business establishment on Kennedy Drive, and demanded cash from the cashier, to which he received and fled the area on foot.

Police are investigating this matter and are appealing to the general public for any information that can assist in this investigation, to call the Central Detective Unit at telephone numbers 350-3107 thru12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.


“OPERATION QUIET STORM” CONDUCTED BY OFFICERS OF
THE CENTRAL DIVISION AND RAPID RESPONSE

Reports are that on Tuesday 28th May 2019 shortly before 3:00pm, officers of the Central Division and Rapid Response, while armed with a search warrant, entered a home on Redwood Lane, where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Three males were arrested and taken into police custody.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS) OR THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 350-3106/12.

CRIME PREVENTION TIP – TAKE A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL FIREARMS BY COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE IN PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ILLEGAL FIREARM.
