RBPF Grand Bahama: Stabbing Incident has left a male hospitalized

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Police in Grand Bahama are investigating a stabbing incident that has left a male hospitalized.

Reports are that on Monday 20th May 2019 shortly after 12:00am,  a male reported that while at Taino Beach, he and a male who is known to him, where involved in an altercation, the male then produced a knife and stabbed him to the abdomen. The victim was rushed to the hospital via private vehicle, seen by doctor and is said to be listed in serious but stable condition.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

Police in Grand Bahama are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Johnovan Smith who is wanted by the Central Detective Unit for Attempted Murder. He is described as having dark brown complexion, average built and wears his hair in corn rows.

 If you have any information on the whereabouts of Johnovan Smith, you are asked to contact the Central Detective Unit in Grand Bahama at telephone numbers 350-3107 thru 12, 911/919 or call your nearest police station.
