Suspect arraigned on murder charge - Grand Bahama

Desmond Wilson age 32 years of #39 Clarke Avenue was arraigned before Magistrate Charlton Smith in Magistrate Court #2 on Possession of Firearm and Ammunition charges. He pleaded not guilty to both charges and was remanded until Tuesday 11th October 2016 to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence.

He was also arraigned before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1 on Murder charge. He was not required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to Tuesday 11th October 2016 for a preliminary enquiry. He was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services in New Providence until trial. Both matters are expected to proceed by voluntary bill of indictment.

Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477)

1. Install an Alarm System with a kill switch.
2. Completely close all windows
3. Never leave your vehicle running unattended. 4. Install a steering wheel lock device.
5. Park in well-lit location, avoid isolated areas. 6. Remove all valuables.
