Veteran Journalist Presents Poetry Book to Minister Pintard -

Veteran journalist and award-winning poet and photographer Eric Rose
presented a copy of his book, Poetry of A Life Renewed to the Minister
of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Michael Pintard during a courtesy
call at the Ministry on Monday.
Born in Nassau, The Bahamas, to
Doris McFall of Inagua and the late Cecil Rose of Cat Island, Mr. Rose
has had a distinguished journalism career that began upon receiving his
Mass Communications and Journalism Associates of Arts degree from The
College of The Bahamas, and his Print Journalism Bachelor of Arts Degree
from Clark Atlanta University (CAU). At the same time, he became the
first of his mother's children to attend college...

Art & Words – A Marriage in St. Martin – An exhibition of 39 years of book covers -

Art helps us to imagine, even create our possibilities. Literature, the
word, gives us license to put pen to paper, to creatively express our
thoughts. The wedding of both genres in books from House of Nehesi
Publishers (HNP), was recently celebrated with an art exhibit in St.
Martin at the intimate gallery of the elegant Sheer Restaurant.
The
HNP exhibition, entitled “Art & Words – A Marriage,” showcased 27
prints and original art of mostly book covers linked to the indie press
for the last 39 years. A number of the pieces were on loan from their

Sir Durward, now the world's oldest Olympian, pens book, "Never Give Up" -

Sir Durward Knowles who is now the oldest living Olympic champion in the
world and a renowned Bahamian sailor, is penning another book to be
released in October 2017, a month before his centurion birthday.
Sir
Durward has chosen Scholar Books to publish “Never Give Up,” an
inspirational book that covers his recovery from serious health
complications that had caused him to rearrange his entire life.
In
2010, Sir Durward endured many health struggles undergoing several
surgeries, months of recovery and having to learn to walk again. In
2015, he had a relapse and fought hard to get healthy again...

Scholar Books Signs Multi-Billion Dollar Partnership -

A Bahamian book publisher continues to expand their power and synergies
with international publishing giants. In May 2017, Scholar Books
organized a multi-billion-dollar partnership with America’s largest book
distributor, Ingram Content Group.
The new expansion follows a year after Scholar Books CEO, Albert Cox had
established a multi-million-dollar partnership with Thomson-Shore,
allowing his company the opportunity to become the first global
traditional book publications company in The Bahamas.
The Ingram Content Group deal focuses on content development and
utilizing their fully integrated channels of print and digital, as well
as their global marketing and distribution services.

Legendary Bahamian musician King Errisson has recently
written a book about his life from childhood in The Bahamas and his
climb to fame as a world renowned percussionist. His book “My Life, My
Loves” tells the story of his early years of growing up in the beautiful
Bahama islands and knowing that one day he would be somebody. His
grandmother knew he was special and she called him “King.” He is known
worldwide as an illustrious percussionist, composer and actor.
Studio musician King Errisson has led quite an interesting life since
his introduction to the entertainment industry. He was born October 29,
1941 in Nassau, Bahamas. Between the ages of 13 and 18, he was a
professional jockey and a session drummer for local bands in his native

Wayne Neely is an international speaker, best-selling author, lecturer
on hurricanes, educator, and meteorologist has just released his tenth
book, “The Greatest and Deadliest Hurricanes of the Caribbean and the

ZNS to air special Sunday on Sir Orville Turnquest’s revealing book on the Duke of Windsor in The Bahamas -

With book sales for What Manner of Man is This, The Duke of Windsor’s
Years in The Bahamas setting records, ZNS Bahamas announced today it
will air a special on the book and its author, Sir Orville Turnquest,
Sunday, December 18. The half-hour show featuring Sir Orville’s findings
about the former King of England who was posted to The Bahamas as Royal
Governor from 1940-1945 and the author’s official presentations of the
book will air at 8:30 pm on Channel 211 on Cable and will stream live
online.
