Nassau, Bahamas - After two stellar days of Runway 1 and 2, anticipation for the final night of the 2010 Islands of the World Fashion Week at the British Colonial Hilton was paramount as guests arrived for the special finale night which was themed around the country of Haiti and called, "Fashion Cares for Haiti: The Relief Benefit Show". The “mosaic of cultures” took on poignant significance this year as attention was drawn to the phoenix rising out of the ashes of the devastation of the island-nation of Haiti, the on-going relief efforts and rebuilding initiatives for a sustainable Haiti.

The Ambassador to Republic of Haiti, Antonio Rodrigue was again in attendance to show his support and told The Bahamas Weekly News Team that he was pleased to attend an event that showcased so much good from his country during a time of such hardship for his people.

Haitian designers featured in Runway 3 were Veve Collection by Phelicia Dell; Davide Andre Collection by Davide Andre; Artisans du Soleil Haiti by Giovanna Menard; Michel Chataigne; Maguy Durce; Maelle Creations by Maelle David; and Savannah Savary.

The audience enjoyed cultural and contemporary clothing styles from Haiti along with jewelry and bags.
