9 illegal immigrants apprehended in Abaco

ABACO, Bahamas - Police in Abaco have in their custody nine illegal immigrants.

Reports are that on Friday 11th September 2015 shortly before 1:00am, Officers of the Sandy Point Police Station, acting on information, went to an area near the Sandy Point Dock and apprehended nine illegal immigrants namely; eight males and one female.

Further reports indicated that they had illegally landed via a boat earlier that night.

Investigations are continuing in this matter.
