Eleuthera police make $10,000 drug arrest

ELEUTHERA, Bahamas - A 28  year old man of Eleuthera is in custody after he was arrested for possession dangerous drugs on Monday 30th December 2013.

According to reports, around 1:45pm, Police in Eleuthera acting on intelligence, went to Light House Beach Road located in Bannerman Town, where they observed the suspect driving a gray dodge truck, acting suspiciously. Police brought the vehicle to a stop, conducted a search and uncovered ten pounds (10 lbs.) of marijuana with a street value of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00)  

The suspect was taken into custody and will face drug related charges later this week.  

Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
