Exuma police issue counterfeit notes warning

EXUMA, Bahamas - Police in Exuma are warning to business owners and residents to be on the look out for counterfeit notesthat they believe are being circulated on that island.

The notes suspected of being circulated are, $100.00, $50.00, and $20.00 Bahamian and American currencies.

Members of the public are urged to make proper checks in ensuring that bank notes being collected are legitimate.

Anyone with information regarding the circulation of these counterfeit notes, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, are asked to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
