RBPF: Building Fire in Abaco - Operation Cleanup yields drug arrest

Abaco, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, on Saturday 5th March 2016, shortly after 11:00am, officers of Operation Cleanup, executed a search warrant at a residence in Central Pines, Abaco, where they arrested two males who were wanted by police for Causing Harm. They also discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Both males were taken into police custody.

Further on Sunday 6th March 2016, shortly after 7:00am, police along with the Marsh Harbour Volunteer Fire Services were called to a building fire on Grace Avenue, Dundas Town, where they met a twelve room stone structure duplex engulfed on fire. The fire was extinguished. The building was unoccupied.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) or 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
