24-yr-old Abaco man arrested for possession of firearm and ammo

Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco took into custody a 24 year old male of the Mudd, Abaco, after he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Reports are that on Friday 1st June 2018, shortly before 2:00am, officers acting on information, went to an area on Charles Sawyer Highway, where they conducted a search of a silver Honda Fit vehicle with one male passenger and discovered a black and silver 9mm pistol with a clip containing (10) live rounds of ammunition. Another male is being sought in connection with this matter.Investigation is continuing.
