Man perishes in Exuma House Fire

Exuma, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire in Exuma that has claimed the life of an elderly man on Saturday 2nd April 2016.

According to reports, shortly after 6:00am, Police in Exuma were notified of a house fire in Williams Town. On arrival at the scene, the officers found a dwelling home fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, the officers discovered the remains believed to be that of an elderly man burned beyond recognition.

Officers from the Central Detective Unit assisted by officers from the Fire Services and officers in Exuma are investigating this incident.
