9 held following another Inagua major drug bust

NINE HELD FOLLOWING ANOTHER MAJOR DRUG BUST IN INAGUA

Inagua, Bahamas - Police took eight adult males from Haiti along with an adult Bahamian male into custody following a major drug bust in Inagua on Monday 11th April 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 4:00pm, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by International Counterparts from the US Coastguard and Drug Enforcement Administration, acting on intelligence conducted a search of a Haitian vessel in Inagua where they uncovered over 100 kilos of cocaine.

The nine men who were on board the vessel were taken into custody for questioning.
