RBPF: Police in Abaco arrest two males after they were found in possession of dangerous drugs

Abaco, Bahamas - Reports are that on Tuesday 14th May 2019 shortly after 10:00pm, police in Abaco, while armed with a search warrant, went to a residence in Government Subdivision, Marsh Harbour, Abaco, were they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana. Two males occupants were arrested and taken into police custody.

The estimated weight of the suspected marijuana is 1.6lbs with a street value of $1,600.00

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS) OR THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 350-3106/12.

CRIME PREVENTION TIP - CONFLICT RESOLUTION

  • Look for ways to settle arguments and disagreements without violence. Remember: if you resort to violence to settle disputes, a child may well follow your example. Be a good role model.
  • Use good manners to help ease tensions that can lead to violence. Teach kids that showing respect for themselves and for the needs of others can prevent crime.
