RBPF: Police in Bimini discover dangerous drugs on 2 separate incidents

Bimini, Bahamas - In the first incident, on Monday 21st May 2018, shortly around 7:00pm, police in Bimini acting on information, went to an area in Porgy Bay near the Northern Grave Yard, where they discovered in a bushy area, a black plastic bag containing a quantity of suspected marijuana. The total weight is one pound and a quarter ounces, with a street value of one thousand and sixty dollars.

In a second incident, on the same date, shortly after 8:00pm, officers of the Bimini Division, acting on information, went to the Radio Beach area in Porgy Bay and discovered a white plastic bag near a meter box with a quantity of suspected marijuana. The estimated weight is three and a quarter ounces, with a street value of three hundred and twenty five dollars.

There were no arrest made in both matters, police are investigating.

CRIME PREVENTION TIPS – CONFLICT RESOLUTION

  • Look for ways to settle arguments and disagreements without violence. Remember: if you resort to violence to settle disputes, a child may well follow your example. Be a good role model.
  • Use good manners to help ease tensions that can lead to violence. Teach kids that showing respect for themselves and for the needs of others can prevent crime.
