Police probe drowning in Long Island, Bahamas

Long Island, Bahamas - Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning death of a man in Long Island on Sunday 31st January 2016.

Preliminary reports are that shortly after 10:00am, two adult males and a juvenile male were on a fishing trip in an area known as Turn Ball Beach off Long Island, when one of the adult males is alleged to have drowned. The victim was taken to shore where pronounced dead by the islands local doctor.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
