U.S. visitor pleads guilty in Eleuthera traffic death

Eleuthera, BAHAMAS - Police have charged 48 – year old Jack Christopher Botero of New York for the traffic death of 32 - year old Bobby Branville Thompson that occurred in Palmetto Point, Eleuthera on Tuesday 15th April 2014. Botero was arraigned before Island Administrator Marlon Leary in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera today (Thursday 17th April 2014) on the charge of Killing in the Course of Dangerous Driving. Botero pleaded guilty and paid a fine of $5,000:00 after he was fined $5,000.00 or one (1) year imprisonment at HMP.

Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)CRIME PREVENTION TIP OF THE DAY

Keep spare keys in your wallet or purse, not inside the vehicle where a criminal can easily find them.
