Illegal drugs recovered, adult male in custody in Cat Island

According to reports, shortly after 9:00am on Wednesday 2nd May, 2018, Cat Island Division Officers, while at New Bight Airport, conducted a search of a male and his belongings and recovered a quantity The male was taken into custody and is expected to be formally charged before Magistrate‚Äôs Court later this week.   

Quantity of cocaine: 1 kilogram of suspected cocaine. The male had just on a flight from New Providence.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)

PREVENTION CRIME TIP: TAKE A STAND AGAINST ILLEGAL FIREARMS BY COOPERATING WITH THE POLICE IN PROVIDING INFORMATION REGARDING THE WHEREABOUTS OF ANY ILLEGAL FIREARM.
