New Providence Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a woman and two female children
who were found dead in a vehicle pulled from waters at the Montague Ramp on Sunday 22nd March 2015.
According to reports, shortly after 10:00pm, police officers were on patrol in the area of the Montague Ramp,
when persons in the area informed them that a vehicle had just went overboard. The officers sprung into
action and immediately went overboard where they located a dark blue Avalon vehicle submerged in the
water. With the assistance of a wrecker, the vehicle was brought near to the shoreline, where the officers
found inside the vehicle the lifeless bodies of an adult female along with two small children, whom they took
to shore. The officers performed CPR but were unsuccessful. EMS personnel pronounced the woman and
the two small children dead at the scene.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigations are ongoing.
