Break-in at Bahamas Customs warehouse near LPIA

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are investigating a break-in at Bahamas Customs warehouse located near the Lynden Pindling International Airport.

The incident is alleged to have occurred between 6:00pm on Saturday 10th June 2017 and 8:00am on Sunday 11th June 2017. The perpetrators used excessive force to gain entry into the building. The entire building was ransacked and at this time it is unknown if anything was stolen.

Investigations are ongoing.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO THE PUBLIC TO SHARE INFORMATION ON ANY ILLEGAL/SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE URGED TO ANONYMOUSLY CONTACT THE POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8476 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
