Commissioner Greenslade swears in 100 new Police Recruits

Police Commissioner Ellison Greenslade on Sunday 24th April 2016 presided over the swearing in ceremony for 100 new recruits into the Royal Bahamas Police Force, who begin six months of vigorous training at the Police Training College this week.

The ceremony, which took place at the Paul Farquharson Conference Center, Police Headquarters, was attended by of members of the Force’s Senior Executive Leadership Team, Seniors Officers, Physician, Chaplain and instructors at the Police Training College.

Commissioner Greenslade in welcoming the recruits shared the following expectations:

That they all came with the willingness to demonstrate Courage, Integrity and Loyalty;
That they will all demonstrate Care, Respect and Trust;
That they will all share in the force’s Vision, Mission and Guiding Philosphy; and
That they will all be clear of the force’s mandate in Law

In closing Commissioner Greenslade told the recruits that because policing in done with the consent of the Bahamian people, they must ensure that their credibility with the Bahamian people is maintained at all times.
