Deposit bag armed robbery in Nassau - Boat fire off New Providence

Nassau Police Seek Armed Robbery Suspects  - Police are searching for three (3) men whom they want to question in connection with an early morning Armed Robbery. The incident reportedly occurred around 9:23 am on Friday 2nd August, 2013. Preliminary reports indicate that a man was in the parking lot of a business establishment at Marathon and Robinson Roads, when he was approached and subsequently robbed of a deposit bag, by two (2) men, the occupants of a silver Honda Accord. Police are actively investigating and appealing to members of the public who may have any information that can assist police in locating the suspects, who fled the area west along Robinson Road to contact them anonymously.

Boat Fire 15 miles NW of New Providence - A 38’ inboard Bertram Cruiser reportedly caught ablaze, 15 miles NW of New Providence on Friday 2ndAugust, 2013.According to reports around 3:45 pm police were informed that a vessel was ablaze in the area of West Bay Street and Orange Hill. The vessel was reportedly en route to Chub Cay when incident occurred.The vessel was completely destroyed; however there were no injuries to the occupants (All Bahamians) of the vessel. Active police investigations continue.
