Drug bust at Winton Meadows Home - Drug seizure at LPIA

DEU MAKE LARGE DRUG BUST AT WINTON MEADOWS HOME, 4 ARRESTED

Nassau, Bahamas - Police has dealt another major blow to the drug traffickers following the seizure of a large amount of illegal drugs and the arrest of two men ages 74 and 41 along with two women ages 71 and 46 on Wednesday 26th August 2015.

According to reports shortly after 7:00pm, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) acting on intelligence executed a search warrant on a home located at Hill View Drive, Winton Meadows Estates, where they uncovered several crocus sacks containing a large amount of marijuana. The 71 year old male and the two women were taken into custody for questioning.

Shortly after 1:00am on Thursday 27th August 2015, the 41 – year old male turned himself into DEU for questioning in connection with this discovery.

DEU MAKE DRUG SEIZURE AT LPIA

According to reports, shortly after 3:00pm on Thursday 26th August 2015, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) went to LPIA Domestic Section, where they conducted a search of several cases of juice being carried by a 25 year old male of Carew Street, who was traveling to Bimini.

During the search of the boxes the officers found a quantity of marijuana. The man was then taken into custody and he is expected to appear in court on Friday 28th August 2015, to be formally charged.
