Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man found wash ashore on Rose Island on Wednesday 19th August 2015.
According to reports, shortly before 4:00pm, police received a report of a body of a man found washed ashore on a beach at Rose Island.
Police assisted by officers from the Royal Bahamas Defense Force went to Rose Island where they met the lifeless body of an adult male on the beach. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Police suspect the victim to be a passenger of a small boat that capsized in the area on Sunday 16th August 2015.
Investigations are ongoing.
